My culture: My style @ February 6, 2008 (Super Tuesday)

February 6, 2008

I am really excited about the caucus and delegates for this general election. First, this is my first time being in a state where there are actually delegates for an electorate. I held on to my drivers license for same strange reason. Also I am still torn between who I can vote for, I don’t know whether to vote for the Delegates that support Hillary or Barack. Normally, it would be a combination. Ay ay!Nevetheless, SuperTuesday for us Marylanders’ will be held in the school system, so schools will be closed, Yeah for the kids. The Super Tuesday will be on Tuesday, February 12th, 2008. Will I vote for Hillary who is with my leader of my evangelical teachings, the doctrine, the bible and that is the BGEA. Or will I vote for Barack who conveniently became a part of my great great great fathers association, he had a church in North Carolina i.e., the Red Hill United Church of Christ. Jesus said that none of his sheep will leave His fold, is he a really a sheep of the Shephard. I think that unity is important, but Barack would have been better to facilitate the unity amongst the people of color. You see his brand of Caucus is independent of the Black Caucus, go ahead playa.

Although the swing states offer clues, there is still one state that keeps having voter problems and I don’t know if the irregularities will ccome from technology or non-errors by people/humans (i.e., New Mexico shut its vote counting operation until 11 a.m. EST, the Democratic race too close to know the winner). Nevertheless, McCain enjoys a coast to coast victory (New York on the east coast to California, our west coast), after being on the verge of collasping, if I had to vote republican – he is a done deal.

Clarity of any sort eluded the Democrats as campaigns turned to the next rounds:

  1. Louisiana and Washington state hold two-party contests while Nebraska Democrats and Kansas Republicans make their picks. Then comes a larger series of two-party primaries in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia on Tuesday.
  2. Obama won 13 Super Tuesday states; Clinton, eight plus American Samoa. Clinton scored the advantage in delegates, bring her total to 845 to Obama’s 765, by the latest accounting. The road ahead was long for the Democrats: It takes 2,025 delegates to claim their nomination.
  3. Clinton won the biggest state, California, capitalizing on backing from Hispanic voters. Obama scored victories in Alabama and Georgia on the strength of black support, and won a nail-biter in bellwether Missour.

  4. In the competition that counted the most, the Arizona senator had 613 delegates, to 269 for Romney and 190 for Huckabee in incomplete counting. It takes 1,191 to win the GOP nomination.

  5. McCain ran first in a few states among self-identified Republicans. As usual, he was running strongly among independents. Romney was getting the votes of about four in 10 people who described themselves as conservative. McCain was winning about one-third of that group, and Huckabee about one in five.

Thanks to Yahoo News, Ifound a very interesting link, “The five lessons on Super Tuesday.” Most of all, don’t forget the Super Tuesday slide show.

I just watched an incredibly inspiring video made by some Obama supporters you might recognize. It’s hard to put its impact into words — please just watch:

It’s a song inspired by a speech Barack Obama delivered a few weeks ago. It’s performed by musicians Will.i.am, John Legend, Common, and others.

This is something special, so please check it out:

If your state is voting today, please don’t forget to get the polls, and be sure to share this with anyone you know who might need some motivation to get out and vote. If you or anyone you know needs help, you can find it by clicking on your state here:

Albert Wynn for Congress

Gearing up for the Primary Election on February 12, 2008

Preparing for Tomorrow, Today

Gazette Endorses Congressman Albert Wynn!

Wednesday, February 6, the
Gazette Newspaper announced their support for Congressman Albert Wynn. The Gazette stated that Congressman Wynns experience was key for winning the 4th district seat.

A humbler Wynn has re-engaged with his constituents in Montgomery and Prince Georges counties…. In this campaign, he has responded reasonably and without bile to his attackers, highlighting what he sees as distortions and convenient misanalysis of his record.

In the House of Representatives, he is the Democrats senior whip, sits on the energy and commerce committee and chairs an environmental issues subcommittee. He has supported small-business contracting reforms, better health care outreach and federal grants to fight global warming and research fuel alternatives. Over the years, he has played a role in securing millions of dollars for projects in his diverse district. Recent legislative efforts have put to rest any skepticism over his ability to reflect the needs and desires of the district.

Has his every vote been perfect? No. But Wynns track record doesnt justify turning him out of office, shows a willingness to consider all ideas, not restricting his thinking to the party lines, and not abusing the power of incumbency.

While Edwards is a formidable challenger, Wynn remains the most qualified Democrat in the Fourth District primary. Experience makes a difference.

About The World Cocoa Foundation

World Cocoa FoundationBased in Vienna, VA, The World Cocoa Foundation’s mission is to promote a sustainable cocoa economy through economic and social development and environmental conservation in cocoa growing communities. In West Africa, cocoa farming is traditionally undertaken by the male head of the household. Yet as demographics change, and urban migration becomes more prevalent, women are increasingly heading rural households, including running family cocoa farms. To support cocoa farming women in West Africa, an extension of the “Farmer Field Schools” program has been launched, tailored to the unique needs of women farmers. Community-level meetings, educational sessions and a “video club” provide advice on child labor, planting, crop management and negotiating the best price for harvested cocoa.

Remember we know God’s children by the promises that they obtain as well as for thie perfected praise and that they are peacemakers. Recast, that these are attributes of What Jesus is to the children of God, his bretheren: rock, fortress, deliverer, God, strength, buckler, salvation high tower, refuge, habitation, thanks, peacemakers, and perfected praise.

The Israel No One Believed Was Israel

– The Spirit of Adoption –

They are not all Israel, which are of Israel.

They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called. However, there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Now to Abraham and his seed (thy seed) were the promises made … which is Christ. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby.

The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. For all the promises of God in Christ are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. They also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

Construction of the Temple

Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been
all made to drink into one Spirit.

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. And, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord.

It is written, That man shall not live
by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Luke 4:4

~ ~

And if I with the finger of God cast out devils,
no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

Luke 11:20

~ ~

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God,
and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name
of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new
Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God:
and I will write upon him my new name.
